Ladakh Sikkim Kashmir Tour is a complete tour to visit Ladakh, Sikkim, Kashmir and Bhutan. In the first part of this Tour we visit Bhutan. In Bhutan we will visit Paro, Thimphu and Phuntsholing. In the second part of the tour we visit Sikkim. In Sikkim, we will visit Kalimpong, Gangtok, Yuksom, Pemayangtse and Darjeeling. In the third part of the tour we will visit Ladakh and Kashmir. In Kashmir we will visit Srinagar, Kargil and Leh.
 

Day 1: Delhi (Arrival)
Around midnight arrival in
New Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital Delhi is the main gateway for travellers. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Paro (by air)
After having the breakfast we drive to the airport to board flight for Paro. Arrival in Paro in the afternoon. The rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Paro
Today we start our day by visiting the National Museum. After the visit of the National museum we go for an excursion to Takstang monastery. In April 1998 a fire destroyed the main structure of Tatiana Monastery, perhaps Bhutan's most photographed and famous site, perched on the side of a cliff 900m (2952ft) above the valley floor. It is also known as 'tiger's nest' because Guru Rinpoche is said to have flown to the site on the back of a tigress in the eighth century. It has been one of the kingdom's most sacred sites ever since, and will be rebuilt in its original style once an auspicious date has been chosen.

Day 4: Paro- Thimphu
Today we will drive from Paro to Thimphu. The rest of the day at leisure at the hotel.

Day 5: Thimphu
At 7,710 feet in the fertile valley of the Wang chu river, the capital Thimphu is an engaging blend of the old and the new. The capital's most striking visual landmark is the magnificent Taschichho-Dzong, which is the seat of the Royal Government and Central Monastic Body. We visit today the national library to see the collection of rare and precious collection of Buddhism. Today we also visit a painting school and the center of the traditional medicines. In the evening we visit the Taschichho-Dzong and Memorial Chorten.

Day 6: Thimphu- Phuntsholing
In the morning after having breakfast we drive to Phuntsholing. Rest of the day at leisure in Phuntsholing.

Day 7: Phuntsholing- Kalimpong
Today we will drive from Phuntsholing to Kalimpong. Kalimpong, a remote hill station has been a meeting point of the once "three closed lands" on the trade route to Tibet. The beautiful mountain scenery and the abundance of flowers have made Kalimpong an attractive resort.

Day 8: Kalimpong- Gangtok
In the morning we have sightseeing in Kalimpong. Later we drive from Kalimpong to Gangtok.

Day 9: Gangtok
Today we have full day sightseeing. In Gangtok, we will visit the Rumtek Monastery, Tibetology Institute, Enchey Monastery and Bazaar. After having sightseeing in Gangtok, drive back to Martam. The
Enchey monastery is believed to be 200 years old. The monks of this monastery belong to the Mahayana Buddhism. The unique Research Institute of Tibetology is situated on a hilltop which was established in 1958 to promote research on Tibet and Mahayana Buddhism. Here we will see the biggest collection of Tibetan scripts and an excellent collection of rare Tankhas, bronze and cult objects.

Day 10: Gangtok - Yuksom
In the morning after having breakfast we drive to Yuksom.

Day 11: Yuksom - Pemanyangtse

In the morning we visit Dhubdi Monastery and Coronation Throne. After having lunch we drive from Yuksom to Pemayangtse.

Day 12: Pemanyangtse 

In the morning visit Pemanyangtse Monastery and Rabdantse Ruins.

Day 13: Pemanyangtse - Darjeeling 

After having breakfast we drive to Darjeeling.

Day 14: Darjeeling

Very early in the morning we drive to Tiger Hill (around 11 km) to enjoy the sunrise. Tiger Hill (2590 m) is the highest point in this area. There is a breathtaking view of the sunrise on the Kanchenjunga mountains. Mount Everest (8842 m) is also visible on a clear day. The moments of sunrise from Tiger Hill are described by most of the visitors as unforgettable. After viewing the Tiger Hill we drive to the hotel and have breakfast. After having breakfast we explore Darjeeling and its surroundings. We visit the village Lablong and the institute of mountaineering where we get the detailed information about the natural surrounding and its habitants of this area.

Day 15: Darjeeling - Bagdogra - Delhi (by air)
In the morning we drive to the Bagdogra airport for the flight to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi in the afternoon. The rest of the day at leisure.

Day 16: Delhi - Srinagar (by air)
In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Srinagar. Arrival in Srinagar in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel in Srinagar. The rest of the day at leisure.

Day 17: Srinagar

Today we start our sightseeing in Srinagar. Today we visit the famous Mughal gardens in Srinagar. In the Mughal gardens first of all you will view
the Chashma Shahi. Chashma Shahi means the Royal Spring and is dedicated to the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The spring waters are believed to have curative properties. After visiting the Chashma Shahi we visit the Nishat and Shalimar Mughal Gardens. Nishat is the larger of the two gardens and has an impressive plantation of Chenar trees on its highest terrace. Both the gardens are built on a symmetrical plan of central waterways with fountains dividing a series of gardened terraces. In the evening we visit the Shankaracharya Temple. This temple is located on a sharp hill, 1,000 feet high and houses a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built in memory of the great Shankaracharya who came to Kashmir from Kerala to revive Hinduism. From the top of the hills, you would be able to have a panoramic view of the Kashmir Valley.

Day 18: Srinagar - Kargil

In the morning after having breakfast we drive to Kargil. On the way we will cross Zoji La pass which is situated at a height of 3529 mts. Zoji La marks the boundary between Kashmir and Ladakh. This pass is sometimes blocked by snow each year. On Zoji La pas there is one way traffic, so we have to wait for traffic controller announcement for crossing Zoji La. In the evening we reach Drass which is the second coldest inhabited places in the world. After reaching Drass we drive further towards Kargil. Kargil is situated in Suru Valley where the Suru river flows and meets the Indus at a place called Marul. Upon arrival transferred to Hotel.

Day 19: Kargil - Leh

In the morning after having breakfast we drive to Leh. The drive from Kargil to Leh is fascinating full of excitement. Due to its altitude (3500 m) Ladakh is also known as the roof of the world. Leh was an important place in the historical times on the silk road to central Asia. The rest of the day is at leisure to acclimatize yourselves to the high altitude of Leh. In the evening we will visit Leh Bazaar and Leh monastery.

Day 20: Leh
Today we start our excursion by visiting the monastery of Thikse. Thikse is one of the most imposing monastery in Ladakh. The monastery has 12 stories, 10 temples, a nunnery and 60 lamas in residence. It contains numerous stupas, statues, tankhas, wall painting and a large pillar engraved with the teaching of Buddha. We can also see here a collection of Tibetan scripts. After the visit of Thikse we visit the village of Shey on the eastern bank of the Indus. Shey was the royal residence and was located at an important vantage point in the Indus valley. It has a large victory Stupa which is topped with gold. After the visit of the monastery of Shey we visit the monastery of Hemis. The rich monastery of Hemis is the biggest in Ladakh and is perched on top of a pleasant green hill surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.

Day 21: Leh - Delhi
In the morning we drive to the airport for the flight to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be met by Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel in Delhi. The rest of the day at leisure.

Day 22: Delhi

Full day is free for shopping and other activities.

Day 23: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
