Markha Valley Trekking tour starts from Spituk and end at Hemis. The Markha valley is one of the most popular and considered as one of the best valleys in Ladakh. This trekking is done in the months from mid of June to October. In this tour, you will also visit various monasteries in Ladakh like Hemis, Shey and Thiksey.

Day 1: Leh - Spituk - Zinchen (about 5 hours)
Today you will drive from Leh to Spituk. From Spituk, you will start your trekking for Zinchen. Overnight stay in the camp in Zinchen village.

Day 2: Zinchen - Kandala base (about 6 hours)
Today you will have your trekking from Zinchen to Kandala Base. On the way stop for lunch at Rumbak. Overnight stay in the camp at base. 

Day 3: Kandala base - Skiu (about 6 hours)
Today you will go along the mountains side of the Kandala to Skiu. Overnight stay in the camp at Skiu. 

Day 4: Skiu - Markha (about 7 hours)
Today you will have trekking from Skiu to Markha. A good path will continue on the right bank from Skiu to Markha. After crossing left bank by a bridge and again a bridge on the right bank, you will arrive at Chaluk village with few houses. After a short climb, you will reach the beautiful Markha village with very good camping sites beyond house near the river. 

Day 5: Markha - Tchatchutse (about 7 hours)
Today, you will have trekking from Markha to Tchatchutse. 

Day 6: Tchatchutse - Nimaling (about 3 hours)
Today you will have short trekking from Tchatchutse to Nimaling. After the walk near a small lake, you will cross pastures and reach Nimaling. It is beautiful valley in Ladakh and Kang Yaze peak dominates the valley. From Nirmaling there are so many routes leading to the summits. In this valley Ladakhi shepherds can be seen who dwell in the woolen tents with the hair of goats yaks. 

Day 7: Nimaling - Shang Sumdo (about 7 hours)
Today you will have long climb along the mountains from Nimaling to Shang Sumdo. 

Day 8: Shang Sumdo - Hemis (about 4 hours)
Today, you will leave Shang Sumdo and trek to Hemis. 

Day 9: Hemis - Leh (about 5 hours) 
In the morning after visiting the Hemis monastery, leave for Leh and on the way visit Thiksey and Shey monasteries.
