Spend whole day on the field with farmers and observe the traditional farming practices. Watch farmers while they plough their fields with camels and buffaloes or spread seeds or water their fields or cutting crops. Lunch will be served at fields that will include special chutneys of garlic and chilies along with main meal. In the evening return from fields and rest at hut in resort.

Day 05
Today the breakfast will be arranged at a villager’s house. After breakfast have a visit to the village and watch villagers performing their day to day activities. Watch women around a community well fetching water buckets, washing clothes and carrying water in beautiful matkas (clay pot) on their heads. Feel free to join the group of people sitting under some shady trees or in open courtyards discussing everything from the world of politics to the local domestic issues. An assemblage of children in an open air school is also an admirable site. Visit these open air schools and spend some time with children. We will also have a round to village market where we will see various small shops of sweets, grocery, vegetables, fruits and other utility items. In the evening back to our accomodation in the village. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 07
Today the day will start with a visit to village temple and attending Morning Prayer. After spending some time at temple and we will return to resort and have some leisure hours. In the afternoon meet to the Village Sarpanch (head of the village) and have lunch with him. After lunch we will watch proceeding of village Panchayat - a unique feature of village life. Panchayat represents a regulating body that discusses and resolves the problems of villagers. It is headed by a Sarpanch (The head of the body) and four other members known as Panchas. Villagers usually choose the senior members of village as Sarpanch and panchas. These panchayats play a prominent role in the life of villagers as their decisions are followed very rigidly. A special evening at resort today where some unique entertainments will be arranged such as walk on rope, puppet dance, fortune teller parrot, etc.

Day 08
Today again a visit to the farms. Besides watching farmers doing their work we can also try our hands at fieldwork. Plough the fields with farmer, try to use simple farming equipments, water the fields and also watch water management techniques used by farmers. As there is a problem of water scarcity in Rajasthan the farmers use special methods to ensure maximum use of available water resources. The skillful techniques used by these farmers will be surprising. You can also take a tour in the green field and watch women milking the cattle and the elderly and young moving cattle for grazing. In the evening return to resort and rest.

Day 09
After breakfast we will spend time in kitchen today not for cooking meals but to observe the very eco friendly method of cooking followed by villagers. Still in most of the village house traditional methods are used for cooking and there is no use of electricity or otherwise used cooking gas LPG. The kitchens are usually open and food is cooked on Chuhlas (a small stove made with bricks and mud). Usually dried woods or cow dung is used as a fuel. A small hollow stick is used to speed up the heat or fire in Chuhlas. Some special Rajasthani dishes are also prepared on heated pieces of cow dung only such as batis (a round ball shaped preparation). Enjoy special Rajasthani food dal-bati-choorma cooked in kachi-rasoi (rugged kitchen) in lunch. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10

After breakfast day will be spent with village artisans. Watch different artisans like potters, cobblers, textile workers, carpenter, jewelers, etc. on their work. They will demonstrate their specific artwork to you. Enjoy watching a potter working on wheel or a cobbler making shoes and traditional juttis (a pointed shoe). The traditional textile work of Rajasthan is mainly done in villages by small artisans who use very old techniques of dying and printing. Natural colors are used for dying clothes and all the work is done by hands. Colorful clothes spread in open air for drying provide a wonderful sight. You can interact with these artists and also purchase the beautiful hand made items. In the evening dress yourself in Rajasthani attire s and enjoy a colorful folk night graced with dance and music performances by villagers.
