Chumathang, Information about Chumathang, Significance of Chumathang Town

Chumathang is a small town located in the district of Leh on the way of Tso Moriri in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It has a population of about 585 persons living in around 123 households. Chumathang is famous for its springs. The Chumathang village is not very far from the springs and a small monastery nearby can be a good place to explore. It has medical significance but the use of water here is also done to wash clothes.
