Tibet situated at the centre of Asia has an area of 2.5
million square kilometers. The significance of Tibet
landscaping is not only the earth's highest mountains but also
a vast arid plateau and majestic river valleys. Tibet is
homeland of homeland 6 million people who are local. There are
also around 7.5 million Chinese, most of them are of Kham and
Amdo origin. The Tibetan language belongs to the Tibeto-Burmese
family. The official language is Chinese. The basic food is by
tradition Tsampa (made of roasted barley flour) and National
drink is salted butter tea. The animals found in Tibet are:
Wild yak, Musk deer, Tibetan antelope, Bharal sheep, Tibetan
gazelle, Kyang (wild ass) to name a few. Birds found in Tibet
are: Black necked crane, Great crested grebe, Lammergeier,
Bar-headed goose, Ibis-bill, Ruddy shel duck just to name few.
Average rainfall in whole of Tibet varies widely due to
topography of the region. As the rainfall the average
temperature in Tibet varies also significantly from region to
region. The famous rivers of Tibet are Mekong, Yangtse,
Salween, Tsangpo and yellow River. The political and religious
leader is the 14th Dalai Lama who is living in exile in
Dharamshala, India.Tibet is only open from 01st of April to
the 31st October every year and Nepal being the nearest
country is the gateway to Tibet and therefore all our Tibet

Tag 01. Kathmandu
In
the morning arrive in Kathmandu. The cosmopolitan City and the
capital Kathmandu is the main gateway for travellers to Nepal.
Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations
representative and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon
we enjoy the first impression of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley
is the cultural and political heart of the country. The city
enjoyed its most glorious time under the reign of Mallas in
the 16th and 17th century.
Tag 02.
Kathmandu
In
the morning after having breakfast we drive to Bodhnath.
Bodhnath is the largest stupa of Nepal. Around the octagonal
base of stupa there are

108 images of Buddha where prayer ceremonies of Buddhist Lamas are
taking place since over 2000 years. Then we proceed to visit the
temple of Pashupatinath which is Nepal's most important Hindu
pilgrim site on the banks of the Bagmati river. The temple of
Pashupatinath is dedicated to god Shiva. In the evening we visit
Patan and Bhaktapur. Patan was the second largest town in the
valley. Patan was previously known as Lalitpur (the beautiful city).
The famous King Ashoka built the Stupas at four corners in the 250
BC. The temple architecture here gave this city fame to be unique
and most beautiful. After Patan we proceed to Bhaktapur, the third
biggest city of the valley. Bhaktapur has preserved its medieval
character better than Patan. We visit the golden door, the Palace of
55 windows (15th century) and Pagoda Nyatapola (18th century).

KATHMANDU (1300) - ZHANGMU (2,500M)/NYALAM (3700M): 123 KM/156 KM
Early
morning scenic drive to KODARI (Nepal
- Tibet border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and after
necessary border formalities both at Nepalese and Chinese
immigration points, check-in to hotel or continue drive to NYALAM.
Overnight at guest house.

Tag 04.
ZHANGMU/NYALAM – TINGRI (4300M)/LHATSE (4,350M): 225 KM/244 KM
Day drive
uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of
Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of
the world crossing over LALUNGLA (5,050 M), from where, weather
permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges
including MT CHO OYU (8, 201 M) & MT XISHAPAGMA (8,212M) but dwarfed
by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can also
enjoy the magnificence of
MT. EVEREST (8,848 M). Overnight at guest house.
Tag 05. TINGRI/LHATSE -
XIGATSE (3,900M): 244 KM
Continue
scenic drive crossing over GYATCHU LA (5,220M), the highest pass en
route to
LHASA via LHATSE from where a road to MT KAILASH bifurcates to the
west. Overnight at hotel.
Tag 06.
XIGATSE - GYANTSE (3,950M): 90 KM
Morning
sightseeing to the PANCHEN LAMA’S TASHILHUMPU MONASTERY. Drive to
GYANTSE and visit to the KUMBUM STUPA & PHALKOR MONASTERY. Overnight
at hotel.

ull day picturesque drive crossing over KAROLA (5,010M), KAMBALA
(4,794M), colourful YAMDROK LAKE and the Tibetan lifeline river
