Lalitha Mahal - Mysore

This is the Lalitha Mahal, built by the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore to host his most important guest, the Viceroy of India. The Lalitha Mahal is now one of India’s most opulent hotels, a palace hotel that offers an experience of princely living in a real Maharaja’s palace. On a low hill, just outside the royal city of Mysore, stand a shimmering white palace – a splendid Italianate palazzo, double-columned and domed – set in sparawling terraced and landscaped gardens. This is the Lalitha Mahal Palace, built by the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore to host his most important guest, the Viceroy of India. The Lalitha Mahal is now one of India’s most opulent hotels, a palace hotel that offers an experience of princely living in a real Maharaja’s palace. Set on a ridge commanding a panoramic view of the gently sloping and curving valley, at the foot of the Chamundi hill, this dream-like palace was built in the year 1931 for special guests of the Maharajas. The building is a majestic, two-storey composition of twin ionic columns, a projecting porch on the ground floor, spherical domes with laterns and the central dome which dominates the elevation. On a little hillock of the Royal City of Mysore stands a shimmering White Palace – A majestic two storey composition of twin lonic columns with a projecting porch, on top of which rests a slightly recessed pedimented pavilion, spherical dome on the roof top placed on colonnaded drums. The central dome which dominates the elevation rises above the central entrance hall.

Rooms:
A total of 54 guestrooms and suites, styled and decorated in a royal-like manner. Each room features attached bath tubs with hot and cold water, air-conditioning, telephone and multi-channel TV. Most of the rooms are equipped with private terrace sit-out.

Located at the lobby level, the fine dinning restaurant serves Indian, Continental, Chinese, Mughlai and South Indian specialities. Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages of your choice are on offer too.

Facilities:

Set in sprawling terraced and landscaped gardens, the hotel features three beautiful banquet halls. Wrapped in royal regalia, the conference hall plays a nice host. The pool side lawn is the perfect place for arranging parties. The hotel has a gymnasium for health enthusiasts. Swimming pool is a good option to unwind after an eventful day. Wi-Fi for better connectivity is provided to the guests. For those who love indoor games, billiards and chess are available. The in-house restaurant serves an array of Indian delicacies. Coffee shop and bar are open to serve their guests. The hotel has other much desired facilities to offer.
