Rang Niwas Palace - Udaipur

Rang Niwas Palace was built in the late 18th century by Maharaja Sajjan Singh. In the late 1920's, Maharana Fateh Singhji added upper floors of the Palace and converted it into a guesthouse for the rulers of neighboring states. Later, Maharana Bhagwat Singh gifted the Palace to his youngest brother Maharaj Arjun Singh in 1955 who used it as a private residence. Finally, the Palace was converted into a Hotel in 1975. Hotel Rang Niwas Palace is ideally situated at the entrance of Lake and City Palace complex, which are the prime attractions of Udaipur. The service offered at Rang Niwas is an extraordinary blend of modern comfort in tranquil surroundings. The unique point of this hotel is its excellent service and personal management by the descendants of the founder of the kingdom of Mewar.
