The Maruti Swift
DZire is very fuel efficient, looks great and
all its variants have powerful engines providing cars with

variants of the Maruti Swift DZire are fuel efficient and
provide optimum fuel economy. The mileage for its petrol
variant is 13.2 kmpl for city streets and 19.1 kmpl on the
highway. The diesel variants give a mileage of 17 kmpl on city
streets and a whopping 23.4 on the highway. These
mileage figures are ARAI certified.
Maruti Swift Dzire Exteriors
New Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire looks very pleasing from
outside. The Swift Dzire has been given a touch-up and new
features are very evident on outside .The exteriors are simple
yet beautiful and luxurious.The hawk eye headlights are
entirely unique in its styling. Body color bumpers provide a
clean and neat look to the front of fresh Maruti Suzuki Swift
Dzire. The side profile is also interesting. New Swift Dzire
has a hatchback three box-sedan body type.
The ORVMs are provided with
turn indicators. A
Body colored door handles and ORVMs add more
beauty to the car. When viewed from the side, the boot lid
seems to be elevated thus giving this car a unique look. At
the boxy rear, one would find small boot as the very
noticeable change in the new car. Large trapezoid tail lamps
are new for Dzire. Stop lamp is placed on the base of rear
windshield.

visible as compared to Maruti Swift Dzire sedan. The height of
the compact sedan is 1555mm and width is 1695mm The new
Compact sedan is based on the new Swift hatch platform and so
is made on extended wheelbase. The wheelbase of this car is
2430mm. Hence one finds enough space in the car. The length
however, feels a scissor on it which now stands at 3995mm. The
below 4-metre mark is an achievement for Maruti engineers,
which helped the company to save to excessive bucks on excise
duty. The kerb weight is equal to its hatchback sister and
varies from 960 kg-1080 kg depending on the selected variant.
They have made the overall look of the car very
intact and gluey now.The ground clearance is a good 170mm
that keeps the car above all bumps.

Interior
Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is essentially an entry-level sedan
and perfect to drive five members in comfort. The company has
loaded 150 new features in this compact sedan. The inside door
handles are done with chrome and add notch feel to the
interiors.The dual tone dashboard with beige plastics below
and black above is separated by wooden trim. The performance
of car overshadows the overall looks.
The new entry level sedan is leveraged with all necessary
material comforts.
The door pads and the seat fabrics are all done in beige, thus
giving a luxurious look.
The centre console and instrument cluster are
neatly designed with all equipments in place. The sporty
instrument panel has a meter cluster with silver ornaments and
3D acrylic graduations that look even better when illuminated.

The legroom,
headroom and shoulder room is more than enough just like all
Maruti cars which are quite reliable in India. Boot space is a
decent 316 litres and is enough to carry a weekend’s luggage.

The top variant has a lot
of comfort features like
the power steering which makes it easier to turn. It also
features an automatic climate control system that allows the
vehicle to automatically change the temperature inside the car
depending on the temperature outside. There is also the
central locking feature as well as the power windows, audio
controls mounted on the steering wheel, the ability to adjust
the height of the driver’s seat, music system that is
integrated with the dashboard, fog lights, rear defogger and
alloy wheels.
Engine and Gearbox
The Maruti Swift DZire can be described as a
dynamic car that features a fair share of advanced technology.
It is a high performer and comes in petrol and diesel
variants. The petrol versions have a 1197cc engine from the K
series that has a 1.2 L capacity. This makes the car powerful
while being silent due to the reduction in vibration that this
type of engine provides being from the K series. The engine is
specifically a K-12 series which has a double over-head
camshaft that is light weight and features a five speed manual
transmission. This ensures a reduction of friction, improved
durability and higher torque. The car is made more
economically friendly due to the fact that this engine meets
the guidelines for emission, specifically the Bharat Stage IV
emission norms.
Acceleration and Performance
The petrol variants of the Maruti Swift DZire have the 1.2
litre K series engine that exhibits an 1197 cc displacement.
This type of engine allows for reduced friction which means
that the engine and thus the vehicle give a better
performance. It features a 5 speed manual transmission that
gives excellent mileage and due to the K series engine it
performs at a higher torque and power which is great for
overtaking and for city driving as well. It goes from 0 to 100
km in 13.8 seconds and its top speed is 169 kmph. The diesel
variant has a DDiS engine with a 1.3 L capacity and a 1248 cc
displacement. They have a five speed manual transmission like
the petrol variants but also feature synchromesh in all five
gears plus reverse. These provide better fuel combustion and
fuel efficiency due to the injector system that it uses.
