Konark Dance Festival is celebrated in Konark, Orisssa. This dance festival is celebrated for almost five days in the first week of December. This festival is jointly organised by Orissa Tourism and Odissi Research Centre. This festival is organized as a tribute to the famous Sun temple of Konark in the open air auditorium against the background of the famous Sun temple of Konark. During this festival, the famous classical dancers of India gather at this place and present live performance. This festival provides a platform to the various artists and classical dancers from all over the country. Various classical dances like Odissi, Bharat Natyam, Manipuri, Kathak and Chhow Dance and music programmes are organised during the festival. A marvelous crafts mela, with a variety of handicrafts and delectable cuisine, are the added attraction of the festival.
