Kalimpong Park Hotel, once known as Dinajpur House, the former summer residence
of the Maharaja of Dinajpur is a hotel with character, situated on a viewpoint, 1 km.
uphill from the downtown area. The hotel faces north-east, and has a 270 degree
panoramic view of the hills and valleys, with Kachenjunga massif standing majestically
on the left. The hotel has it’s own gardens and cars drive up to the front door.

All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are available at standard charges at the
restaurant. You can also ask for a variety of cuisine viz. Indian, Continental, Chinese and
local cuisine (Chinese and Tibetan), which are provided on request. The hotel also

healthy meals. We have tried our hand at Specialty menus, and exotic dishes –
but finally concluded many years ago, that what the tired traveller or the discerning hotel guest wants is wholesome, freshly cooked meals prepared by experienced hands.
Having started on kerosene stoves and coking coal, until the early nineties we were
using firewood for cooking, but after being aware of the environment, switched over to

2km) and Tharpa Choling Monastery (Approx. 3km) are places of tourist attraction near
the hotel. St. Theresa Church is one of the ancient centuries old church located in Kalimpong. Resembling monasteries in its structure, this church features designs from Tibetan architecture. In addition, paintings and inscriptions of Biblical themes that
resemble Buddhist monks can be seen on the walls of this church. Zong Dog Palri Fo
Brang Gompa, Tharpa Choling Monastery and Durpin Dara Hill are other places of
