Feedback: Tour – Sri Lanka

Dear Mr Minglani,
Once again, our family enjoyed a wonderful
holiday. Apart from the weather – which I
understand you are unable to influence –
everything ran smoothly. I shall give my
comments on the individual aspects of the tour –
but rest assured that our feedback is largely
positive.
Pick-up
Perfect.
Vehicle
The vehicle was in good condition and was
well-maintained by our driver throughout the
trip.
Driver
Our driver, Adrian de Silva, was excellent.
Adrian was always polite, helpful, punctual and
well-organized. His English was such that he was
able to provide us with a lot of information
about Sri Lanka - I hope we didn’t grill him too
much! It was a pleasure to spend the two weeks
with him.
Hotels
Our favorite hotel – despite the unfavorable
weather conditions – was the Dutch Bay Resort
where we were made especially welcome. This was
a relaxing stay after flying in and we can
highly recommend the hotel. Also to be commended
is the Araliya Green Hills Hotel. I was a little
skeptical about the ‘Gala Dinner’ as I am
generally not a fan of buffet dinners, but the
evening and the meal was perfect.
The other hotels were all fine - despite those
in the first week being waterlogged - and we
also enjoyed the home stay in Kandy.
Miscellaneous
The only minor disturbance during the tour was
when we received a phone call fmidway through
our trip to check whether we were enjoying our
tour. An unexpected phone call leads one to
suspect bad news from home and made everybody
nervous. Whilst this was thankfully not the case
(and the lady representing was very pleasant) we
could have done without such a call. Whilst I
appreciate the motivation the fact is that the
company has an extremely competent driver in Mr
de Silva and should have no need to check up on
him and his guests.
I shall continue to recommend Indo Vacations and
look forward to working with you again.
