South India Journey
We are back from a
journey through South India: Odisha, Tamil Nadu,
Maharashtra, Mumbai: overwhelming,
unforgettable, impressive.
An important part
for this successful trip was the input of Mr.
Sanjeev Minglani. We had planned a very
comprehensive and tight program. During a common
planning period, Mr. Minglani respected our many
wishes and questions - and we had quite a lot of
wishes and questions (particularly regarding
traveling by car and train) He had a lot of
very helpful suggestions and recommendations and
reacted promptly to our demand for changes
The local
organization worked perfectly. Beginning with
the arrival in Kolkata, during the travel (by
car, plane and train) and ending with the
departure in Mumbai. We felt looked after very
well (e.g. the local guides insisted to
accompany us to the departure of our train, even
to our cabin in the train, what happened late in
the night). We travelled three times by train
during the night. It was always a great
experience with everyday life in India.
The choice of
hotels was very good; almost all of them were
excellent. Location, ambience, location,
amenities (pool, WLAN), Accommodation (including
dinner), Service, were really very good. Our
personal rating was one star above the ranking
in the offer from Indo Vacations (There was an
exception in a single case only, there was no
better hotel available).
The local guides
were somehow different regarding their
competence: articulation in English, expertise
and efforts to show us India some were
acceptable only, but many of them were very good
to outstanding.
The driver were excellent, we did feel save all
the way – despite the heavy traffic – (and even
during a few rides in the night).
Summarizing: a
perfect journey after this we can recommend
IndoVacations without restrictions for trips in
India.
