Day 01: Kathmandu

Today arrival at Kathmandu airport .The cosmopolitan City and the capital Kathmandu is the main gateway for travellers to Nepal. You are met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to your Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

 

Day 02: Kathmandu Excursion: Pashupatinath, Bodnath, Swayambhunath
Today after breakfast at the Hotel we visit the temple city of Pashupatinath which is Nepal's most important Hindu pilgrim site on the banks of the Bagmati river. The temple of Pashupatinath is dedicated to God Shiva. Pashupatinath is one of the seven most important holy cities to Hindus. After the visit of Pashupatinath we visit Bodnath. Bodnath is the largest Stupa of Nepal. Around the octagonal base of Stupa there are 108 images of Buddha where prayer ceremonies of Buddhist Lamas are taking place since over 2000 years. In the afternoon we have sightseeing of Kathmandu city. The city enjoyed its most glorious time under the reign of Mallas in the 16th and 17th century. We visit Durbar Square. Durbar Square is the spiritual heart of Kathmandu. The old royal palace at the centre of the city was surrounded by temples and other important buildings. This is the most important point in Kathmandu to observe the culture and religion of Nepal. A visit of the temple of living godess Kumari is also a part of our today's Programme. After the visit of Durbar Square we proceed to visit Swayambhunath. The stupa at Swayambhunath is the most important and oldest site of Buddhist worship in Nepal. Swayambhunath Stupa is famous for the eyes of Buddha which seem to observing the world from all 4 directions. Overnight at the Hotel.
 
Day 03: Kathmandu - Pokhara (about 205 kms/ 6-7 hrs)
Today morning after having breakfast at the Hotel we drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is the gateway to Himalaya. The Pokhara valley is the second biggest valley in the central hilly region of Nepal after Kathmandu. The town of Pokhara itself, at an altitude of just 900 m on the Seti Khola river is overshadowed by the fishtail mountain (6999 m), one of the most beautiful mountain of the world. Upon arrival check in with your Hotel. Afternoon boat ride on Phewa lake. Overnight at the Hotel.


Day 04: Pokhara Sightseeing: Davis fall, Gupteshwor cave, Bindabasini temple

Today morning after having breakfast at the Hotel we have sightseeing in Pokhara. We visit David fall, David fall is one of the deepest caves in Asia. This water fall was first explored in 1970, it is 48 metres deep and 1479 meters long. After David falls we visit Gupteshwor cave, Gupteshwor Cave is situated in the south east part of the Pokhara at Chhorepatan. It is at a walking distance from Lakeside and damside. It is very close from Devi’s Fall. This Cave is one of the outlet of Devi’s fall. It is believed to be 500 years old and was discovered in 1992.The cave is damp and stairs are slippery. Then we visit Bindabasini temple. Rest of the time free for leisure at the hotel.

Day 05: Pokhara - Chitwan (about 155 kms/ 5-6 hrs)
Today after having breakfast we leave Pokhara and drive to the south of Nepal to the Royal Chitwan National Park. This National Park is situated near the Indian Nepal border. The area of the National Park covers around 950 square km. The Chitwan National park is the natural habitat of the Tiger, great one-horned Indian Rhinoceros, Leopard, Gaur, Sloth Bear, Wild Bear and Sambars. You will have your overnight stay in a comfortable lodge in the National Park. Upon arrival check in with your Safari Resort. Lunch at the Resort. In the afternoon we have elephant back jungle Safari to view the wild animals in the Park including one horned Rhinoceros. Dinner and Overnight at the Resort.

Day 06: Chitwan
Whole day jungle activities such as elephant ride, canoe ride, bird watching, village visit, Tharu Cultural Dance etc. to view the Water birds and reptile, walk to Tharu Village etc. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and overnight at the Resort.

Day 07: Chitwan - Kathmandu (about 175 kms/ 6 hrs)
Today after having breakfast at the Hotel we drive from Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu.. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 08: Departure
Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer from Hotel to airport in time to connect your flight to onward journey.
