Day 01: Delhi (Arrival)
Around midnight arrival in New Delhi. Upon arrival, you will
be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Bagdogra (by air) - Darjeeling
In the morning drive to the airport for the flight to Bagdogra.
After the arrival in Bagdogra you will proceed north of the
state through the coniferous forests and terraced tea gardens
to Darjeeling. Darjeeling (place of the thunderbolt) has
spectacular scenery. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to
the hotel in Darjeeling. In the evening enjoy the beautiful
surroundings at Darjeeling.
Day 03: Darjeeling
Very early in the morning you will drive to Tiger Hill (around
11 km) to enjoy the sunrise. Tiger Hill (2590 m) is the
highest point in this area. There is a breathtaking view of
the sunrise on the Kanchenjunga mountains. After viewing the
Tiger Hill you will visit the Yiga Choling monastery, built in
1850. It has the 14ft. Maitriya Buddha statue. After visiting
monastery drive back to the hotel. After having breakfast we
visit the institute of Mountaineering where we get the
detailed information about the natural surrounding and the
habitants of this area and Zoological Park where you can see
the rare Himalayan animals like the Snow leopard, Tibetan
Wolf, Himalayan Black Bear, Red Panda, Siberian Tiger etc.
Day 04: Darjeeling - Pemayangtse
Today we leave the state of West Bengal and drive through the
forests and tea gardens to Pemayangtse (The perfect Sublime
Lotus) in Sikkim. Sikkim is the second smallest state in
India. Sikkim, in the East Himalayas is sandwiched between
Nepal to its west and Bhutan to its east. Sikkim has so rich
of flora, fauna and a diverse ethnic and cultural population
as no other state in India.
Day 05: Pemayangtse - Gangtok
Today after having breakfast you will visit the headquarters
of the Nyingama sect in Pemayangtse and drive to Gangtok.
Day 06: Gangtok
Today you will have full day sightseeing in Gangtok. In
Gangtok, you will visit the Rumtek Monastery, Tibetology
Institute, Enchey Monastery and Bazaar.
Day 07: Gangtok - Rangpoo
Today you will drive from Gangtok to Rangpoo.
Day 08: Rangpoo - Teesta
After having breakfast you will enjoy river rafting from
Rangpoo to Teesta.
Day 09: Teesta - Kalimpong - Teesta
Today you will drive to Kalimpong and enjoy sightseeing. Later
you will drive back to Teesta.
Day 10: Teesta - Siliguri
After having breakfast you will enjoy river rafting from
Teesta to Kalijhora and then drive to Siliguri.
Day 11: Siliguri - Bagdogra - Delhi (by air)
In the morning you will drive from Siliguri to Bagdogra
airport to catch the flight to Delhi. In the evening arrive in
Delhi.
