6 Days Lamayuru Trekking Tour is an interesting trekking tour that starts from Lamayuru and ends at Stok. Stok is more a palace than the monastery. This royal palace was built in 1825 by king Tsespal Tondup Namgyal as there were invasions by the Dogra forces. The Stok Palace has now become the home of the erstwhile royal family. The Palace Museum at Stok has wonderful royal thangkas, royal crowns, dresses, coins, precious stones and turquoise head dresses (still used by Ladakh women as their traditions).

Day 1: Lamayuru - Prinkiti-la - Hinju (about 7 hours)
Today, you will start your trekking from Lamayuru to Hinju. On the route ypu will pass Prinkiti La pass. Overnight stay in the camp in Hinju.

Day 2: Hinju - Konzke-la - Sumda (about 6 hours)
In the morning, you will leave Hinju and start trekking to Sumda. On the way, you can stop at Konzke-la and later resume your journey from there. In the evening reach Sumda. Overnight stay in the campi in Sumda. 

Day 3: Sumda - Dundunchen-la - Chilling (about 7 hours)
Today, you can again start your trekking from Sumda to Chilling. The inhabitants of Chilling are the only ones to work with metals such as cooper, tin, silver used for the making of ladles, pots, teapots etc. In the evening reach Chilling.

Day 4: Chilling - Shingo (about 6 hours)
Today, you can follow the Zanskar river from Chilling upstream for several hundred metres. After having a small break at Skaya, reach Shingo. 

Day 5: Shingo - Ganda-la - Rumbak (about 4 hours)
Today, you will have a long climb from Shingo to Rumbak. In the evening reach Rumbak and have an overnight stay. 

Day 6: Rumbak - Stok-la - Stok - Leh (about 6 hours)
Today, you will pass the valley from Rumbak to Stok, On the way, you can have rest at Stok-la. Later start your trekking to Stok. On reaching Stok, drive to Leh.
