The Hotel Nor Khill is a heritage hotel that belongs to the Elgin Heritage group of hotels. This hotel is situated in Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. This hotel is known for its traditions, unchanged characteristics and ethnic Sikkimese ambiance. The word Nor Khill in Sikkimese language means the house of jewels. The Hotel Nor Khill was built by the King of Sikkim in 1932 as his Royal Guest House where he received and entertained Head of States and dignitaries. His Holiness the Dalai Lama, John Galbreith and various film stars have also stayed in this hotel.

The Hotel Nor Khill has about 32 quiet, elegant and traditional rooms. Each of the rooms have been furnished beautifully which showcase the variety of colours and designs that surrounded the royalty of olden days. All the rooms are spacious and overlook Mount Kanchenjunga and the Himalayas. The rooms of the hotel were specially designed for the royal guests of the Chogyal of Sikkim and still maintains the typical traditional Sikkim architecture. The Shangri La restaurant in the hotel is the perfect place to have the finest traditional cuisine filled with the aroma of exotic spices in the air. There is also a bar in the hotel. The Dragon Bar is a cozy and quiet bar which is designed tastefully in Sikkimese decor. This bar is well stocked with variety of drinks. In this bar one can taste a large variety of Sikkimese ethnic drinks like Tongba (Millet Fermented Beer).
