Day
1: Delhi
Around midnight arrival in New Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital Delhi is the main gateway for travellers. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day
2: Delhi - Bagdogra (by air) - Darjeeling (about 100 km)
In the morning drive to the airport for the flight to Bagdogra. Upon
arrival in Bagdogra we proceed through the forests and tea gardens to
Darjeeling. Darjeeling (place of the thunderbolt) has spectacular
scenery. Due to its altitude and soothing temperature in summers
Darjeeling has become a famous hill resort in India. In the evening
drive to the hotel in Darjeeling.

3: Darjeeling
In the early morning you will drive to the Tiger Hill and enjoy the
sunrise. Tiger hill (2590 m) is the highest point in this area. There
is a breathtaking view of the sunrise on the Kanchenjunga. Mount
Everest (8842 m) is also visible on a clear day. The moments of
sunrise from Tiger Hill are described by most of the visitors as
unforgettable. After having breakfast you can enjoy the toy train
ride in Darjeeling to the Ghoom monastery. In the afternoon after
having lunch you will visit the nearby surrounding areas in
Darjeeling.

4: Darjeeling - Pemayangtse (Pelling)
In the morning drive from Darjeeling to Pemayangtse in Sikkim. We
enter through Naya Bazar Check point into the Sikkim. From the Check
point the drive is only for the five hours to Pemayangtse. Sikkim is
the second smallest state in India. Sikkim, in the East Himalayas is
sandwiched between Nepal to its west and Bhutan to its east. In the
evening arrive in Pemayangtse. Overnight stay in Pemayangtse.

5: Pemayangtse - Yuksom
In the morning after having breakfast drive to Yuksom. The first king
of Sikkim was coronated in Yuksum. Enroute you will visit
Pemayangtshe Monastery and Tashiding
Monastery. Tashiding monastery
belongs to Nyingmapa order and is nestled on the top of a hill that
looms up between the Rathong river and the Rangit river. In the
evening arrive at the hotel in Yuksum.

6: Yuksom - Gangtok
In the morning drive from Yuksum to Gangtok. The capital of Sikkim "Gangtok"
lies on a ridge overlooking the Ranipool river. Gangtok ("High Hill")
lies at an altitude of 1760 m and is surrounded by the Kanchenjunga
range. In the evening arrive in Gangtok. Overnight stay at the Martam
Resort in Gangtok.

7: Gangtok - Lachung
Today you will drive from Gangtok to Lachung in the North Sikkim. In
the late afternoon arrive in Lachung.

8: Lachung - Yumthang - Lachung
In the morning you will drive to visit the beautiful Valley of
Flowers at Yumthang, about 24 kms from Lachung. The snow peak
mountains surround this beautiful Yumthang valley. Yumthang is also
well known for its hot springs. To reach here one has to walk a few
hundred yards from the road and cross the bridge on the river Lachung.
The area is very beautiful and the mountains surrounding the area
seems as if they are touching the heavens. After visiting the hot
springs at Yumthang you will drive back to the hotel in Lachung.

9: Lachung - Gangtok
In the morning after having breakfast we drive from Lachung to
Gangtok. On the way you will visit the Waterfalls, the Tree Gate and
the footmarks of Guru Rimpoche at Chunthang. In the evening arrive in
Gangtok.
Day
10: Gangtok
Today you will visit the Rumtek
Monastery. Rumtek monastery was built
as a true copy of a Tibetan monastery in recent years. Rumtek is the
headquarter of Red hat sect of tibetan lamaistic Buddhism. After
visiting the Rumtek monastery you will visit the unique Research
Institute of Tibetology on a hilltop. This institute was established
in the year 1958 to promote research on Tibet and Mahayana Buddhism.
Here you will see the biggest collection of tibetan scripts and an
excellent collection of rare Tankhas, bronze and cult objects. After
having lunch you will visit Enchey Monastery. This monastery is
believed to be 200 years old. The monks of this monastery belong to
the Mahayana Buddhism. After visiting the monastery you will visit
the Bazaar in Gangtok.
Day
11: Gangtok - Kalimpong
After having
breakfast you will drive to Kalimpong. Kalimpong, a remote hill
station has been a meeting point of the once "three closed lands" on
the trade route to Tibet. The beautiful mountain scenery and the
abundance of flowers have made Kalimpong an attractive resort. In the
afternoon arrive in Kalimpong. After having lunch you will visit
Doorpin Monastery and Bazaar in Gangtok.
Day
12: Kalimpong - Bagdogra (about 80 km) - Delhi (by air)
In the morning after having breakfast you will drive to Bagdogra
airport for the flight to New Delhi. In the evening arrive in Delhi.
The rest of the day at leisure.
Day
13: Delhi (Departure)
Flight to home destination.
