Day 01: Trivandrum
Arrive at the Trivandrum (Thiruvanthapuram) airport. Trivandrum is the cosmopolitan city and capital of Kerala and also the main gateway for travellers to Kerala. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Trivandrum - Kanyakumari (about 90 kms.)
In the morning we have sightseeing in Trivandrum. In the sightseeing we visit the Shanghumukham Beach, Kuthiramalika (Puthenmalika) Palace Museum, Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple and the Museum Complex. The Shanghumukham Beach is a favourite place for the sunset viewers. The main attractions of this beach are an indoor recreation club, the Matsya Kanyaka (a gigantic, 35 m long sculpture of a mermaid) and a restaurant shaped like a starfish. After having sightseeing, drive to Kanyakumari. The virgin Goddess Kanyakumari has watched over the phenomenon since the beginning of time, standing at the top of the country, with the water of Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal drawing to her feet. Today, a temple stands here dedicated to the virgin Goddess.
Day 03: Kanyakumari - Kovalam (about 90 kms.)
In the early morning, view the sunrise at the Vivekanand Rock Memorial and later drive to Kovalam. Kovalam Beach is the internationally renowned beach in Kerala. This beach is located about 16 kms from Trivandrum and has been a famous tourist place since 1930. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches. The southernmost beach is known as the Lighthouse beach and is the most popular beach. On arrival transfer to the hotel at Kovalam beach. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 04: Kovalam - Alleppey (about 175 kms)
In the mornin after having breakfast drive to Alleppey. Alleppey, the coastal town on the Arabian Sea is known as the Venice of the East and famous for the numerous backwater canals that meander through the town. This town holds a thrilling event of snake boat race every year during August. It is also known for its cashew nuts. Overnight at houseboat.
Day 05: Alleppey - Kumarakom - Munnar (about 142 kms.)
In the morning after having breakfast leave the houseboat in Kumarakom and drive to Munnar. Munnar lies at an altitude of 1530 m and is surrounded by tea and cardamom fields. Beautiful scenery in and around makes this place worth visiting. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 06: Munnar
The whole day is at leisure to explore the beautiful scenery and the tea gardens around Munnar.
Day 07: Munnar - Cochin (about 130 kms.)
In the morning after having breakfast drive to Cochin. Cochin is also known as the queen of the Arabian Sea. Cochin is the most interesting town in South India at Malabar Coast and also known as Venice of South. On arrival in Cochin, drive to the hotel. In the evening we visit St. Francis church, the oldest European church in India, where the famous sailor Vasco da Gama was buried. After the visit of St. Francis Church we have a walk through the Jewish area of Mattancherry.
Day 08: Cochin (Departure)
Transfer to the airport or Railway Station from flight to home destination.
