Day 1: Delhi
Around midnight arrival in Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital Delhi is the main gateway for travelers. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
- Bagdogra (by air) - Darjeeling
In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagdogra.
Upon arrival in Bagdogra you will drive to Darjeeling. Darjeeling
(place of the thunderbolt) has spectacular scenery. Due to its
altitude of 2134 m and soothing temperature in summers Darjeeling has
become a famous hill resort in India. In the evening arrive in
Darjeeling. Overnight stay in the hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 3:
Darjeeling
In the early morning you will drive to Tiger Hill to enjoy the
sunrise. Tiger hill is the highest point in this area. There is a
breathtaking view of the sunrise on the Kanchenjunga. Mount Everest
is also visible on a clear day. The moments of sunrise from Tiger
Hill are described by most of the visitors as unforgettable. After
having breakfast you will have bird watching in the Tiger Hill forest
area for the whole day. In the evening drive back to the hotel in
Darjeeling.
Day 4: Darjeeling - Mungpu Forest area - Darjeeling
After having breakfast drive to Mungpu Forest area to enjoy the bird
watching. In the evening return back to the hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 5: Darjeeling
- Batasi Forest
In the
morning after having breakfast drive from Darjeeling to Batasi
Forest. In the evening arrive in Batasi Forest. Overnight stay in
Batasi Forest.
Day 6: Batasi
Forest - Dhodrey
Today you will have bird watching in and around the Batasi Forest
area. After having lunch drive to Dhodrey. In the evening arrive in
Dhodrey. Overnight stay in Dhodrey.
Day 7: Dhodrey
The whole day is at leisure to enjoy the bird watching in and around
Dhodrey Forest.
Day 8: Dhodrey -
Manebhanjang - Sandhakphu
Today you will drive from Dhodrey to Manebhanjang. In Manebhanjang
you will change your vehicals and take Landrovers or Jeeps and drive
further to Sandhakphu. In the evening arrive in Sandhakphu.
Day 9:
Sandhakphu
Today you will have whole day to enjoy the bird watching in and
around Sandhakphu area.
Day 10:
Sandhakphu - Lepcha Jagat
After having breakfast you will drive from Sandhakphu to Lepcha Jagat.
In the evening arrive in Lepcha Jagat. Overnight stay at the Forest
Bungalow in Lepcha Jagat.
Day 11:
Lepcha Jagat
The whole day is at leisure to enjoy the bird watching in and around
the Lepcha Jagat Forest area.
Day 12: Lepcha
Jagat - Pemayangtse
Today you will drive from Lepcha Jagat to Pemayangtse. In the evening
arrive in Pemayangtse. Overnight stay in Pemayangtse.
Day 13:
Pemayangtse
Today you
will enjoy the bird watching in and around the Pemayangtse.
Day 14:
Pemayangtse - Yuksum
Today you
will drive from Pemayangtse to Yuksum. In the evening arrive in
Yuksum. Overnight stay in Yuksum.
Day 15:
Yuksum
Today the
whole day you will have bird watching in and around Yuksum.
Day 16: Yuksum -
Kalimpong
In the morning after having breakfast drive from Yuksum to Kalimpong.
Kalimpong, a remote hill station has been a meeting point of the once
"three closed lands" on the trade route to Tibet. The beautiful
mountain scenery and the abundance of flowers have made Kalimpong an
attractive resort. In the evening arrive in Kalimpong. Overnight stay
in Kalimpong.
Day 17: Kalimpomg
- Lolagaon
In the morning drive from Kalimpomg to Lolagaon. In the evening
arrive in Lolagaon. Overnight stay in Lolagaon.
Day 18:
Lolagaon
Today you will have whole day bird watching in and around the
Lolagaon Forest area.
Day 19:
Lolagaon - Lava Forest
Today you will drive from Lolagaon to Lava Forest. Overnight stay in
Lava forest area.
Day 20: Lava
Forest - Kalimpong
Today in the morning you will have bird watching in the Lava Forest.
After having lunch drive to Kalimpong. In the late evening arrive in
Kalimpong. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.
Day 21:
Kalimpong
The whole day is at leisure in Kalimpong.
Day 22:
Kalimpong - Bagdogra - Delhi
Today we drive from Kalimpong to the Bagdogra airport to catch the
flight to Delhi. In the evening arrive in New Delhi and transfer to
the hotel.
Day 23: Delhi
(Departure)
Flight to home destination.
