Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan is one of the best places in India to taste the delicious Rajasthani food which is popular all over for it's use of chilies, spices and sweets. Some of the popular dishes of Jaipur are: Kota Kachori, Khasta Urad Dal Kachori. Eating the Kachori together with a cup of hot tea (chai) will give you an idea about taste of the street food of Jaipur. The Rajasthani cuisine is also gaining more popularity due to the rich taste, exotic flavor and healthy preparation. This cuisine has a very good taste which is designed not only to satisfy the taste buds but also the human psychology.

A food walk in Jaipur is an amusing activity together with enjoying some of the delightful food of Rajasthan, prominent tourist spots and visiting some hidden places of Jaipur. Even a person who is not able to eat spicy food can eat Rajasthani food without any worries under proper guidance and assistance. Food and Cooking Tour of Jaipur gives the tourists an opportunity to visit the beautiful spots of jaipur and also experience the delicious cuisine of the city via tradition. Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan and has a rich cultural heritage and beautiful monuments and old bazaars which are worth to visit. The foundation of Jaipur was laid by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the year 1727. These food walks can takes place in morning or evening as per climatic conditions and convenience of the guests.

During each food walk, we taste about 10-15 different type of dishes from the oldest and most reputed food joints of old city of jaipur and also from other parts of Jaipur.

Jaipur Food and Walking Tour Itinerary


Day 1) Jaipur

Today morning arrival in Jaipur and transfer to the hotel. After a short break we start our food and sightseeing tour of jaipur city. Our sightseeing and Food walk of Jaipur begins with the Amber. After visiting the palace we visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar – The Observatory. Then we proceed to visit the Hawa Mahal. After visiting Hawa Mahal we visit the Albert Hall Museum. Then we proceed to visit Kanak Vrindavan temple and Jal Mahal. Jal Mahal is a heaven for bird watchers during some part of the year. Jal Mahal and Kanak Vrindavan temple has a very beautiful landscape. In the evening we visit Laxmi Narayan Temple located below Moti Doongri.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel / Homestay.

Day 2) Jaipur
Today cooking classes will be organised specially for you. Today we learn about Rajasthani dishes. During these classes you will be taught to cook different Rajasthani dishes with the appropriate use of typical spices and how they are normally used in the kitchen. You will be having a female Professional Indian cook who has many years of cooking experience. Cooking Classes will take place at her private cooking school. During the classes we recommend you to stay with an Indian family in our homestay to experience the real Indian culture and way of living. We learn about Rajasthani Vegetarian Recipes like Dal Bati, Churma, Gatte Ki Sabzi, Lahsun Ki Chutney etc. After learning the cooking we eat these delicious dishes which are prepared by you with the help of cooking teacher.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel / Homestay.

Day 3) Jaipur
Today cooking classes will be organised specially for you. Today we learn about North Indian Vegetarian Recipes. Some of the popular North Indian dishes are Mushroom Matar Masala, Palak Paneer, Rajma Masala, Dal Makhani, Chole Batura, Makki Ki Roti and Sarson Ka Saag. Some popular North Indian Sweets are Gulab Jamun, Gajar Ka Halwa, Phirni etc.  After learning the cooking we eat these delicious dishes which are prepared by you with the help of cooking teacher. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel / Homestay.

Day 4) Jaipur – Departure
Today a heritage walk is organised specially for you. Heritage Walk is a walking tour of Jaipur city and has been designed to acquaint people with Jaipur city. Our Walking tours are designed very properly and covers old city, temples, monuments, shops and bazaars of Jaipur. Our heritage walk help you to explore the city of jaipur and to experience the culture and tradition of jaipur city by walking on the busy streets of Jaipur. While on heritage walk we taste and enjoy different type of Rajasthani dishes including sweets and street food on the way while walking and exploring the city from the shops of Jaipur.

After finishing the walking tour back to Hotel / Homestay. Depending on your departure time you will be transferred to airport or railway station for onwards journey. (End of Tour)
